The Frayne Custom Cabinets Additional-Entry Bantams open a third-round, best-of-three OMHA playoff series against Lambeth Lancers this weekend.
The series opener is Friday, Feb. 5 in Lambeth at 7:45 p.m., and Game 2 is Saturday, Feb. 6 in St. Marys at 8 p.m. If the set goes the limit, Game 3 is back in Lambeth Sunday at 8:45 p.m.
The series winner advances to the provincial quarter-finals.
The Home Building Centre A-E Peewees are now playing Mt. Brydges Cougars in the third round.
The series opener was this past Sunday in Mt. Brydges, and Cougars skated to a 2-0 victory. Game 2 is Friday, Feb. 5 in St. Marys at 8 p.m.
The winner also moves on to the quarter-finals.
The Legion ‘BB’ Minor Midgets played Game 3 of their best-of-five OMHA series last Friday in Dorchester.
The Rock won the first two games, 3-2 and 4-2, and was looking for a series sweep against their season rivals. However, Dragons won 5-2 last Friday to prolong the series.
The series winner also advances to the quarters.
Girls playoff series
The following is a summary of the SMMHA girls teams and their playoff schedules.
The Hubbard Pharmacy Midget ‘C’ girls are playing Mitchell, Seaforth, Stratford and Goderich in an opening-round, round-robin format.
St. Marys plays in Mitchell on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 8:25 p.m., hosts Seaforth in St. Marys on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 8 p.m., hosts Stratford in St. Marys on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m., and travels to Goderich on Sunday, Feb. 14 for a 9 p.m. face-off.
The Landscaping Atom ‘B’ girls play Mitchell in a four-point opening-round series.
The series opens Wed., Feb. 10 in St. Marys at 7 p.m. Game 2 is Friday, Feb. 12 in Mitchell at 7:50 p.m. If necessary, Game 3 is Sunday, Feb. 14 at the PRC at 1:20 p.m.
The McPhail’s Bantam ‘C’ girls are playing Upper Maitland, Seaforth, Stratford, Brussels and Mitchell They play three games at home in a five-game round-robin format.
They hosted Upper Maitland this past Monday, entertain Seaforth on Monday, Feb. 8 at 7:50 p.m., host Stratford on Monday, Feb. 22 at 7:50 p.m., and travel to Brussels on Sunday, Feb. 28 for a 5:30 p.m. face-off.
The Bantams complete their schedule Sunday, March 7 in Mitchell, starting at 7:20 p.m.
